Important Information: Terms & Conditions – Please Read
Access: The consulting room is on the first floor and requires one flight of stairs to access.

Toilets: Please be aware that male toilets are on the ground floor and female toilets are on the first floor.
Cancellation Policy: Clients who book an appointment are required to give a minimum of 24 hours notice if they cannot attend or need to reschedule. Cancellations with less that 24 hours notice will be charged at the full fee. This is in place to cover costs of lost clinic time and appointment slots that may have been utilised by others.
Appointments: Your consultation time may vary and be longer or shorter depending on the complexity and nature of the problem. Appointment time also includes clinical note taking, documentation review, onward referrals and emailing summaries or exercise programs, so please bear this in mind. Please note that the consultation charge is neither increased where more time is required nor decreased in the case of a shorter consultation. For late attendances, it may be necessary to shorten the appointment or reschedule to avoid further delays. In such instances the full charge for your appointment will still apply. Whilst we endeavour to run our clinics on time, unexpected delays may occasionally happen. In these instances, your patience would be appreciated.
Appointment Preparation: On your first physiotherapy consultation, a detailed assessment including a full medical history and physical examination will take place. Appointments can last from 20-60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your symptoms and nature of the problem. The clinician may ask you to remove items of clothing for examination or treatment, so please wear something comfortable. If you would like privacy while changing, please ask. You are welcome to bring a friend or relative to appointments if it makes you feel more comfortable.
Legal Requirements: During appointments, your background and clinical information will need to be documented. This is to comply with legal and professional requirements of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and Health Care Professions Council, and to record the assessment, treatment and decision making.
Treatment Planning: After the initial assessment, a detailed explanation of the clinical impression and proposed treatment will be provided. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions about anything you may feel is unclear.
Treatment Outcomes: The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic cannot guarantee the treatment provided will help resolve the condition you are attending for but will use clinical judgement in each case.
Communication: You have a right to discuss potential risks, benefits and concerns involved in your treatment and decline any part or at any point. Please do not hesitate to discuss any questions or concerns with your therapist or clinician.
Data protection: All information collected in the course of your assessment and treatment at The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic Ltd will remain strictly confidential under the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, (GDPR).
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Notice details how The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic Ltd collects, processes and stores any personal information you share with us. In this document, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic Ltd also known as The Physio Clinic. The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic Ltd company number is 15906074 registered in the United Kingdom. For the purpose of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic is the data controller and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Data Collection - we may collect the following information:
- Demographic details including name, address, date of birth, contact numbers, email address, registered GP or consultant and occupational, hobby and other health information
- Medical history, medications, current medical conditions
- Policy numbers or codes relevant to private medical insurance
- Dates and times of appointments
- Physiotherapy assessment and treatment consultation notes
- Referral letters to or from other health professionals
- Credit card receipts and records of invoices and payments
- Testimonial or reviews that you choose to leave on social media or other websites
Why we need this information:
- To meet professional and legal standards of record keeping
- To book or amend appointments and send out confirmation and reminder messages
- To assist diagnosis and inform ongoing treatment
- To identify risks, cautions or contraindications to treatment
- To communicate with other health professionals or services who may be involved in your care
- To meet our contractual commitments to private medical insurance companies
- To help resolve complaints/queries that may arise regarding your episode of treatment or payment
- To participate in audits for improving standards of care
Security
We are committed to ensuring your information security. In order to prevent unauthorised data access or disclosure, we have in place physical, electronic and managerial safeguarding standards. We are legally required to retain your data for a minimum of 8 years, or up to the age of 26 years for children as stated by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Testimonials and reviews will be viewable online for an indefinite time period.
Data Disclosure
The Physiotherapy and Wellness Clinic Ltd will not share your data with any third party without your prior consent. Contractual commitments may require us to send reports and invoices to private medical insurance companies. This may include using online portals, secure emailing or scanning documents. Referrals to GP’s, Consultants or other health professionals may be completed by post, email or online.

- To have rectified any errors in the data we hold about you
- To request erasure of personal data we hold. This may not always be possible if it violates our legal or professional requirements
